If article writing is on of the many tools in your toolshed, you might want to think about writing Press Releases. The advantage of using online press releases is that the search engines love them, bringing massive amounts of traffic to your site or blog. Since they rank very well in Google, press releases should be used frequently.
It is a very efficient way to spread the word out about your network marketing company and will result in an increase of traffic to your sites. News sources are considered authority sites by the search engines, so you can get a good amount of traffic from Google, Yahoo, MSN, and Ask.
So what makes a good press release?
You could hire someone to write one for you but, depending on the source, it could get quite expensive. So, if you plan to write a press release yourself, there are some guidelines that you must follow:
1. Keep your press releases rather short. A compressed format, around 400-500 words, with 2 to 3 paragraphs, works well. Also, your headlines must be clear and concise and summarize the entire press release. You can use a headline analyzer for good results (link here).
2. A press release should be written in a "third person" point of view. Just as a reporter reports, your job is to inform the masses about the latest, breaking news. Always report an event without a "vested interest" in it. Report your news from a neutral perspective, as you don't want it to sound like an advertisement.
3. Use phrases like, "According to Mr. Smith…", etc. The reason for this is that it lends credibility to your press release because you are quoting someone, and it sound more professional.
Now that you know the basics of a good press release, you can start to talk about your network marketing company by writing a review on your company's product. Make sure you outline your product's benefits and useful information.
When choosing a press release source, you have two choices: free and paid. The advantage of a paid press release is that you have the advantage of ranking faster on the search engines, and you'll have more quality backlinks. Your press release will also tend to have good SERPs because you'll have less competition, as many people don't want to pay for such a service. The disadvantage is that you have to pay for your ranking, basically.
The free press releases are good if you're on a tight budget. Just keep in mind that you'll have to post many press releases to get the desired effect, mostly because there will be plenty of other people looking for these free press releases, as well.
Here are a few press release sites that you can submit your press releases to:
PRWeb.com
WebWire.com
PR.com
PRLog.com
1888PressRelease.com
This is just one of the many methods that can drive traffic to your site, and ultimately grow your organization.
