If your company has more than 20 computers, it is time to use IT Asset Management ("ITAM") to manage your resources more efficiently and here's why; It becomes difficult to keep track of your purchased software history when the organization has a large number of computers. Management doesn’t know if employees have installed unauthorized software and, if so, on which computers. There is a risk that pirated software in your company’s network will result in criminal prosecution by the government for copyright infringement. This can happen if employees have intentionally or even accidentally installed software that is not fully licensed. Purchasing and managing multiple software licenses across a large number of users increases the difficulty of software asset management and can cause waste of valuable budget dollars.
