Penguin Secur-e-mail will encrypt the communication between your e-mail client (e.g. Outlook) and the POP3 server using SSH. No server-side installation is needed. The software runs on a MS Windows 9x/Me/NT/2K/XP system tray. It will enable a POP3 server on your computer, running on local ports 110, 111, 112 and 113 which will allow you to setup your e-mail client to pick up e-mail from up to 4 different POP3 servers. The software is very compact and easy to setup. In less than 2 minutes you can pick up your e-mail using a highly secure ssh channel.
Penguin Monitor 8s uses secure SSH connection for monitoring up to 8 Linux/Unix servers. It runs under Windows 9x/Me/XP/NT/2K. While running on a Windows system tray, it connects to each server in required intervals and checks for interesting information, e.g. important/critical process availability, number of users, uptime, storage capacity etc. It can be easily configured to start automaticaly upon Windows system bootup and to alert the administrator directly or via e-mail, if something goes wrong, or if a specified condition is met (a server has restarted, a proces becomes unavailable, a server is not available - PING reply not received etc.). The software is very compact and contains no graphics. The demo is fully functional, however, it will run only for 30 minutes and it will not save the setup. There is a free upgrade for a lifetime.
